However, the transfer plans at Elland Road are dynamic, and the club are keen to remain flexible with their targets and priorities in the final weeks of the transfer window.
Leeds are about to sanction the departure of defender Sebastiaan Bornauw, who is set to join Hamburg in the coming days after just one season at Elland Road.
Bornauw’s departure means Leeds are now prioritising signing a replacement, and the club are keen to line up a deal for a centre-back as soon as possible.

Leeds United revive interest in 29-year-old World Cup centre-back
With Bornauw seemingly on his way out, Daniel Farke is keen to bring in someone who is experienced enough to step in whenever needed.
Leeds have been heavily linked with a move for Borussia Monchengladbach centre-back Nico Elvedi throughout the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old centre-back was impressive for Switzerland during the World Cup and is believed to be keen to play in the Premier League next season.
According to The Guardian, Leeds are considering a move for him as they prepare for the possibility of Sebastiaan Bornauw leaving Elland Road this summer.
Leeds have revived their interest in the 29-year-old, and he is one of the names who are under consideration at Elland Road before the end of the transfer window.
Farke worked with Elvedi at Gladbach, and the defender is believed to be keen on reuniting with his former manager at Elland Road.
Any deal would depend on the German club accepting a reasonable offer, as Leeds are in no mood to pay a big fee for a 29-year-old this summer.
Gladbach are believed to be keen on securing somewhere around £8.5m before agreeing to sell him.
The Whites are also expected to consider other options as well as a potential replacement for Bornauw.
Nico Elvedi may cost more than what Leeds want to pay
Much like the situation with James Trafford’s back-up, Leeds United could also face a problem if they need to find another centre-back.
When Sebastiaan Bornauw arrived, the expectation was that he would provide depth in the position rather than immediately become a regular starter. He only got an extended run in the team when injuries left Leeds short at the back.
If Hamburg come in with a strong enough offer and Leeds decide to sell Bornauw, the club would have to rethink their plans for the position.
Finding a defender willing to come in primarily as back-up will not be straightforward. Leeds picked up Bornauw for around £5m last summer, which proved to be excellent value, and replacing that kind of depth without spending significantly more could be difficult.
