Leeds United will soon be fighting to hold on to one of their best players. However, the Whites have taken a strong stance and are prepared to dig their heels in.

Daniel Farke’s side have made a strong start to the Premier League season, collecting nine points from their opening five league games and remaining unbeaten.

Their early-season performances have turned heads, and a few top clubs are already eyeing Leeds players who are doing well at this stage of the campaign.

The league season is barely five games old, and there is already talk of big European and Premier League clubs raiding Elland Road for players in 2027.

Leeds take strong stance on potentially selling star man

Several Leeds players have looked good at the start of the season, but one of them has stood out since his arrival at Elland Road in the summer transfer window.

Tarik Muharemovic has emerged as a defensive star in the Premier League, and it is hard to believe that he had no experience of playing in England before he arrived at Leeds in the summer.

His performances have turned heads, and Inter and Barcelona have already been linked with a move to sign him in the near future.

It emerged on Tuesday that Bayern Munich have identified the Leeds defender as one of their top targets for the summer 2027 transfer window.

Leeds signed the centre-back for a fee of around £34m, and are under no pressure to sell the centre-back any time soon.

Bayern Munich are prepared to test Leeds’ resolve, and according to TEAMTalk, it would take a record fee for the Whites to even consider selling the defender.

It has been claimed that it would take more than £60m for Leeds to consider letting Muharemovic leave Elland Road next summer.

If his suitors are prepared to offer that fee, the Serbian defender would become Leeds’ record sale.

However, for now, the Whites are not interested in entertaining offers for the 23-year-old centre-back.

Leeds must resist selling him next summer

Leeds must resist the temptation to cash in on Tarik Muharemovic next summer, no matter how glamorous the interest becomes. Inter Milan, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are the sort of names that can make any club sit up, particularly if a huge offer lands on the table. But Leeds should be thinking beyond the size of the cheque.

Muharemovic has the profile to become a cornerstone of this team rather than another player sold at the first sign of serious interest. He is young, already gaining valuable Premier League experience and has shown enough to suggest his ceiling is considerably higher than what we are seeing now.

Leeds have spent years losing their best players and rebuilding. If the club genuinely wants to establish itself among the Premier League’s ambitious sides, there has to be a point where it stops being a stepping stone.

Muharemovic should be one of the players Leeds builds around, not one they cash in on.

While 60 million gives us a great profi what is the qualifier is NOt the large profit but how much are we going to have to pay for better or even same quality replacement. Taking a chance of finding a quality replacement is slim to none unless we are spending a lot more money which makes t any decision to sell absolutely stupid
