Leeds United have been very particular about some transfers in this window. The last few deals have seen the club fulfil certain conditions before sanctioning any transfer.

According to Daniel Farke, Sebastiaan Bornauw wanted to leave for more playing time.

HSV were interested in the Belgian defender, but Leeds had to secure a replacement first. This is what lead to the club signing Nico Elvedi from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Both transfers were completed around the same time.

Bornauw gets his move to a club where he can play more games, and Leeds land Elvedi who is a very competent addition.

Leeds United pushed to sign James Trafford as their marquee transfer this summer.

The Manchester City keeper came in as a record transfer fee. His arrival at the club now means the team have a long term solution in the goalkeeping department, after years of disappointment.

Trafford arriving also paved the way for Lucas Perri to leave.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Italy for weeks, with Torino the club leading the chase. However, since the club agreed terms with Leeds, the move has yet to go through.

First it was Perri’s finger injury which delayed a potential medical. Then Marseille came in to try and hijack the move, but ultimately failed.

After weeks of inactivity on both ends, the transfer is finally set to go through. According to Sky Sports’ Zinny Boswell, Torino are ready to proceed with the transfer for Lucas Perri.

The transfer had been held up for weeks because the Italian club had to complete a sale first.

Now, everything is in place for a move, even though nothing has been formalized yet. Perri is set to leave, with Frankfurt stopper Michael Zetterer lined up as his replacement.

When a move for Perri is completed, the club can finally pursue a move to sign Zetterer.

A backup goalkeeper has been very high on the list of targets for Leeds United. The club are also looking at adding a defender, a winger and a striker before the window closes.

As things stand, things are moving very slowly as the deadline approaches.

Leeds tried with a move for Mykhailo Mudryk which was unsuccessful, but club sources believe a deal can be revived.

Conrad Harder remains on the radar, but nothing has been confirmed in the last few days.
