Nico Elvedi was the last transfer Leeds United completed in this window. Since that, the defender has made his debut for the club and even started in the League Cup on Tuesday.
Daniel Farke’s side have gotten off to a great start to the season, winning both of their games.
Despite all the positives from both matches and the fanbase expecting more, Leeds still have a lot of work to do. Especially in the transfer window where the 49ers are pushing to get a few deals across the line.
Four new players have been added to the first team, which is not much considering the players that have left.
Pascal Struijk, Isaac Schmidt, Joe Gelhardt and Jack Harrison have been sold, while Sebastiaan Bornauw and Joel Piroe has been loaned out. Max Wober was released and joined a new club as a free agent.

Some areas of the Leeds United team are lacking serious depth, and there are just five days until the transfer deadline.
The club are said to be after a backup goalkeeper, a defender, a winger and a striker. Attacking reinforcements are sorely needed considering Piroe and Gelhardt are not with the team.
Leeds tried to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, but Chelsea ended talks. Conrad Harder is also on the radar as the club looks for a striker.

The Whites have been pushing to sign Michael Zetterer over the last couple of weeks. It has taken a while to convince the German to move, but Frankfurt have now secured a replacement.
Per Zinny Boswell, Frankfurt have now given Zetterer the green light to fly to England and complete the move.
Leeds have also given Lucas Perri permission to travel to Italy and complete his transfer. The deal will be a loan with an option to buy.

Getting a backup keeper was really important
Many would ask why Leeds have spent so much time and effort on signing a backup goalkeeper.
Michael Zetterer reportedly wanted to fight for his place as number one at Frankfurt, but it seems he has accepted a backup role at Elland Road.
With Lucas Perri all but gone, that would leave Alex Cairns as the only senior goalkeeper at the club. Cairns is a good keeper in his own right, but the team would need someone with more quality to count on if Trafford ever needs a rest.
Zetterer comes in with experience in Europe’s top five leagues and will bring competition in training.
That is a much better option than relying on Alex Cairns over a whole campaign.
