With four Premier League games to go, the race for Premier League survival is far from over. Leeds United find themselves on the brink of being dragged back into the tussle at the bottom of the table.

It was just over a week ago that the Whites went three games unbeaten, picking up seven points from games against Manchester United and Bournemouth. However, with West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur also fighting to get results, the picture at the bottom of the league is not clear. Four games is a lot, and the standings could change at any time. Leeds have chance of boosting their odds of escape on Friday when they take on Burnley. A win could see them go nine points clear of Spurs with three games to go.

Sean Dyche delivers brutal Tottenham Hotspur relegation verdict ahead of Leeds clash

Daniel Farke’s men will be the first among the relegation rivals to play, with Forest, West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur all playing after Friday. If Leeds play their cards right, they could be out of the dogfight this weekend.

Tottenham have had a terrible season, and their form has fallen off a cliff in the second half of the campaign. Former Forest boss Sean Dyche was on talkSPORT speaking on the relegation battle. When asked if Spurs would go down, Dyche said:

”I just think they’re in real trouble now. You know, they can’t sort of find their groove.
They can’t find that bit of mojo. You know, sometimes it just pops. And I thought they bottomed out a few weeks ago when they just hit rock bomb and that’s it, and there’s only ways up.

”But they sort of haven’t, you know, expect them to bounce and there’s just been no bounce when the new manager went in on store. Here we go. And it just doesn’t work. Now maybe it’s coming, but it needs to come quick.”

When the topic about Spurs’ fixtures came up and their clash against Leeds, Sam Matterface added: ”Well, they’ve got Leeds and Chelsea. They got Leeds coming up on a Monday night.
Leeds probably should be safe by then. It’s at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Then they go to Chelsea after the FA Cup final.
So maybe they might get a little bit fortunate there, although they never beat Chelsea.”

Friday is a must win game for Daniel Farke

Burnley are poor, coming off the back of a loss to Manchester City. Their coach Scott Parker has been sacked, and they have been relegated. Everything is set for Leeds to win the game in front of the Elland Road crowd. But Daniel Farke’s men must be wary of complacency, as they lost to Clarets in the reverse fixture. If the Whites play their cards right, they can clinch their safety in the coming days. Three points will see them reach 43 points, so any slip up by West Ham or Spurs could confirm another place in the top flight next season.
