Leeds United will be preparing to face Liverpool in Chicago in their final game in the US. The Whites have already played two fixtures as they ramp up preparations ahead of the new season.
Daniel Farke’s men won their last game against Sunderland by a lone goal.
Match winner Lukas Nmech spoke after the game, saying that it was a good run out for the players involved.
“This is for getting fitness and back up to speed, but a winning mentality is definitely something we also need to train,” he added.
“We went into the game with some fatigue and I think you could tell that at times, but it was good to get the win.”
Leeds lost to Wrexham in their first game, and beat Sunderland in their most recent match. They take on Liverpool on Sunday night.
Three players set to be available for Leeds United clash
Ahead of the clash in Chicago, there are some injury concerns for both sides.
Farke revealed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is back in training, and Jaka Bijol is still out with a knock to his knee. Lucas Perri was also left out of the game against Wrexham due to a knock.
On the bright side for Leeds United, Sebastiaan Bornauw returned to action and new signing Tarik Muharemovic featured in the game.
Liverpool have also been handed a huge boost ahead of the game; Ryan Gravenberch, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz are back in training. Andoni Iraola confirmed that all three will play some minutes on Sunday.
Jeremy Jacquet could also feature after returning to action.
Unfortunately for the Reds, Joe Gomez has been ruled out after a muscle injury he picked up in the Wrexham game.

How Liverpool have fared in pre-season so far
The Reds have played two matches this summer, both of them in the US.
Andoni Iraola’s side have scored five goals in their friendlies so far. The new Liverpool boss revealed that he was excited to hear that the club was going on tour in North America.
“I was really happy when I found out we were coming again to Chicago. I was here last pre-season with Bournemouth. I understand now the repercussion of Liverpool is not the same as when I came last season, but still it’s been really nice. I hope we can finish it in a proper way also against Leeds. I think we can finish these two weeks properly.”
Both Leeds and Liverpool have played some good football this summer, so the fans in Chicago will be in for a real treat on Sunday.
