Leeds United have not won a game since their 4-1 thrashing of Newcastle United at Elland Road. But their start to the season means that Daniel Farke will be pleased with avoiding defeat.
The Whites have won two games so far in the league and will be aiming for a third win on Sunday.
Farke’s men have only fallen to Premier League holders Arsenal this season. They have been very difficult to play against, and have taken points off Brentford and Brighton.
Sunderland will host Leeds United at the Stadium of Light, the last meeting between the two ended in a draw.
Regis Le Bris’ side have had the worst possible start to the year; four points from their first seven games. They have one win all season and have lost four matches o the bounce.

The last meeting between the two sides saw Sunderland take all three points in controversial fashion at Elland Road.
The away side won the game after a penalty was given, with VAR deeming Ethan Ampadu to have handled the ball. Sunderland scored from the spot and that was the only goal of the game.
Regis Le Bris will be without three players as Kevin Danso is suspended and Dan Ballard and Romain Mundle remain out with injuries. Good news for the home side is that Brian Brobbey is available following his injury during the international break.
When it comes to Leeds, Daniel Farke’s side will be without Joe Rodon who is yet to recover from his injury.
Ahead of this weekend, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Noah Okafor are all huge doubts. But the could still make the game if they are ruled fit i time.

Predicted Leeds XI vs Sunderland
Three players that form the spine of the team could be missing on Sunday.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin already has a read made replacement in Lukas Nmecha on the bench. Daniel Farke may not wish to risk the England striker in order to keep him fresh for upcoming games.
When it comes to the midfield, Stach could be out paving the way for Sean Longstaff to make a rare start.
Stach himself has not been in form for a while and could do with a rest; Longstaff is a good enough deputy for Sunday. And with Noah Okafor also a doubt, that could mean a first start for Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
Leeds have enough in them to get something at the Stadium of Light tomorrow even with multiple doubts.
Predicted Leeds United XI vs Sunderland: Trafford; Justin, Bijol, Muharemovic; Bogle, Longstaff, Ampadu, Gudmundsson; Aaronson; Bahoya, Nmecha
