Tottenham supporters were left furious after their side suffered a damaging defeat at Elland Road, with the result only adding to their frustration over a controversial refereeing decision.
Roberto De Zerbi’s team arrived in Yorkshire looking to extend their winning run to four, but left empty-handed after a second-half winner settled the contest.
However, an incident before the break sparked much of the anger among the travelling support and continued to dominate the post-match discussion.

Spurs fans furious after Bogle escapes red card

The flashpoint came when Jayden Bogle caught Mathys Tel on the back of his Achilles during a challenge in the first half. Tottenham players appealed for a red card, but referee John Brooks took no disciplinary action.
VAR reviewed the incident for several minutes before deciding that the challenge did not warrant a sending-off. Tel subsequently had to leave the field after initially attempting to continue.
Tottenham supporters were particularly unhappy with the outcome, with one fan expressing their frustration on X: “Where’s the red card! A terrible tackle leaves Tel down.”
Another fan could not control his emotions and explained: “What a farce!!! A five-minute VAR check and no red card.”
Another major talking point was the perceived inconsistency in disciplinary decisions, with supporters pointing towards Xavi Simons’ previous dismissal for a similar challenge on Virgil van Dijk.
Spurs fans were furious with the decision, with the comparison to Simons’ red card adding to accusations of double standards.
More than just three points for Leeds

The controversy was harder for Tottenham supporters to swallow because of the eventual outcome.
Leeds grew into the game after the interval and were rewarded when substitute Noah Okafor scored in the 79th minute, just moments after coming on. Harry Wilson provided the assist as Farke’s changes made the difference.
Tottenham had chances to respond but could not find an equaliser, ending their three-game winning streak.
There is little doubt that the Bogle incident will remain a talking point among Spurs supporters, particularly with Tel’s fitness now another concern for De Zerbi.
For Leeds, however, the afternoon ended with a much-needed victory and three valuable points before the international break.
