This weekend once again sees Leeds United as slight favourites against their Premier League opponents.

The Whites’ home form is doing a lot of heavy lifting in most predictions ahead of Saturday’s game.

Leeds host Spurs, who are on a winning streak. Daniel Farke’s side remain one of only a few teams in the top flight to still be unbeaten at home.

The club will be keen to set their season back on track after some horrible results in the last few weeks.

Losing to Bournemouth has raised questions over the quality of this Leeds side, as well as Daniel Farke’s coaching.

The German admitted in Thursday’s press conference that he does not really believe in attacking freedom and will stick to his style. Something in the team must change if they are to stand a chance to beat a resurgent Spurs side.

Roberto De Zerbi spoke about Leeds, praising the Whites’ style and intensity at home, as well as acknowledging their player quality.

“The intensity of Leeds, especially at home, is great. The qualities of the players, they have a clear style of play.” he said in Friday’s press conference.

“Not too many teams in the world defend in five and in build-up they become four. Especially on the right side, they have very good connections. They have maybe the best striker in the air, but also Tottenham have the right qualities to play a good game. Our target is to play well and get a good result tomorrow.”

Leeds’ attack needs to start firing again

Calvert-Lewin is now without a goal in his last two games, and has just one in his last four.

The team seem to be struggling in front of goal as well, having scored in just two of their four matches.

They have not been able to get the best results simply because they cannot score goals. If Daniel Farke doesn’t solve this, it comes back to haunt them in such a big game at Elland Road.
