Leeds United strolled to a comfortable win over RB Leipzig at Elland Road over the weekend. Daniel Farke’s side have now racked up three wins in a row in pre-season.
They wrapped up their training camp in the US, recording two wins and a draw.
The Whites brought their best in front of a home crowd in West Yorkshire. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha were on the scoresheet as Leeds shut out the German side at the other end.
Just hours after the game at Elland Road, Leeds’ next opponents had finished their pre-season game.
Manchester United held Paris Saint-Germain to a draw in Sweden. Both sides will play in front of a sold out crowd at Croke Park in Ireland on Wednesday night in a highly-anticipated game.
Doubts emerge ahead of Leeds United clash on Wednesday
Red Devils boss Michael Carrick mentioned that he is looking forward to the game on Wednesday.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Carrick said to MUTV.
“It’s been, a little bit, different chapters through pre-season and we’ll get everybody together, when we get to Dublin over the next couple of days.”
Manchester United could miss two players for the Leeds United clash, as Senne Lammens and Matheus Cunha are doubts with minor illnesses. Both missed the PSG game, but did travel to Ireland.
Tom Heaton and Mason Mount were also substituted with knocks during Saturday’s game.
Striker Benjamin Sesko is yet to feature in pre-season, but also made the squad. England duo Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo could return after their break following the World Cup.
Karl Darlow has also made the trip to join Michael Carrick’s side in Ireland. He is yet to play in pre-season after picking up an injury.

Leeds injury news ahead of Dublin game
Leeds United were handed a huge boost on Saturday, as Jaka Bijol made his first appearance in pre-season.
The defender was out with a knock, and failed to play a minute in the fixtures in the US.
Unfortunately for the Whites, Gabriel Gudmundsson has been ruled out for at least three weeks after getting injured against Liverpool in Chicago. Noah Okafor is expected to feature after returning to training.
James Trafford did not play at Elland Road on Saturday, but could have a part to play on Wednesday night.
Joel Piroe was absent from the squad that faced RB Leipzig, with rumours surrounding his future.
