The new summer signings at Leeds United have dominated the headlines this season. Daniel Farke’s men have started the campaign on a very good note.

Just one defeat in seven games is impressive, with 10 points accumulated.

They currently sit just outside the top four and have picked up very impressive results against top teams.

Leeds have played well in most games and their latest signings have showed their quality on the pitch. James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic have earned a lot of plaudits.

Trafford has proven so far that he was worth the record transfer fee. Muharemovic has surprised everyone with how well he has played this season.

Other signings have yet to make a real impact since arriving at Elland Road.

Melvin Bard has barely played, and Jean-Matteo Bahoya is being slowly introduced to the first team. Michael Zetterer had a less than pleasant debut in Leeds colours.

Harry Wilson has turned out to be the biggest disappointment so far. One assist in seven games has not been inspiring.

Ahead of playing Sunderland, Daniel Farke has shed some light on why the Welshman is struggling to make an impact so far.

”Had a difficult start but it’s quite normal. Quality player but new surroundings.

”Always a player capable to score goals or get assists. Came into a new setup compared to Fulham. Trying to adapt to our style.

”Pretty happy with what he’s done, worked hard in pre-season and first games then out for three weeks injured.

”Intensity and workload against the ball is on a way better level than when he arrived. But when you have to work more, sometimes energy and concentration is not there. Pretty sure his quality will shine through.”

Should Leeds fans be concerned about Wilson’s form?

It is too early to write off a signing who is coming off the back of an impressive Premier League season.

Last year, Harry Wilson had 11 goals and eight assists in all competitions. He is a great player who has been consistent for most of his Premier League career. Just because he is off to a slow start this season does not mean he will be a flop.

In games he has played, he has generally been decent but lacks output.

Wilson is supposed to provide an attacking spark to this team but he has been in and out of the lineup due to multiple factors.

Last season it took Noah Okafor some time to adjust, and it might be the same with Harry Wilson this year.
