Leeds United are pushing hard to secure a few more players, in addition to the four they have signed, before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Daniel Farke has made it clear that there are still areas of his squad that need strengthening, with the Leeds boss keen to bring in a few more new faces before next week’s transfer deadline.
The 49ers have recruited smartly this summer and the four new signings have shown early promise in the first couple of games of the 2026/27 season.
However, Leeds need more as there are still gaps in the squad, and they need a few dominoes to fall soon to ensure they can bring in a few more fresh faces.

Leeds United have a pathway to sign player after £11m
The Whites are in the market for a goalkeeper who will be happy to be the backup to James Trafford and is good enough to step up when needed.
Michael Zetterer has emerged as Leeds’ top target before the end of the window, and they are in talks with Eintracht to finalise a deal in the coming days.
He visited Leeds’ facilities last weekend and has given his approval to a move to Elland Road before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Eintracht are now also prepared to sanction the deal as the German club have finalised an agreement to sign his replacement.
According to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, Eintracht have reached a final agreement with Freiburg to sign goalkeeper Noah Atubolu.
He is undergoing a medical at Eintracht and will join the German club on loan with an obligation to buy set at just over £11m.
Once Atubolu officially joins Eintracht, the club are expected to sanction Zetterer’s departure to Leeds.
What else does Leeds need before the window closes?
With Zetterer looking likely to join, Leeds are about to solve a big headache of having a quality number 2 goalkeeper behind James Trafford.
However, Leeds still need to sign a striker as they cannot afford to gamble on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fitness, and Lukas Nmecha is not a prolific goalscorer.
It also remains to be seen whether Leeds sign a backup full-back amid Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury concerns or back James Justin to continue to fill that role.
Daniel Farke also remains keen to add a left-sided forward, and is pushing the club to sign one more difference maker in the final third.
