It has bee over a moth into the new season, and fans can now get a fair reading on the new signings at the club. Leeds United went all out and bough a lot of key pieces into the first team.

Last ear, the aim was just to add depth to a team hoping to avoid relegation.

But seeing as the club managed to finish much higher than expected, the ambition changed. The 49ers decided to splash the cash, targeting quality players that would become immediate starters i the first team going forward.

Leeds landed James Trafford, Harr Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic.

So far, the new signings have performed to an acceptable standard and the signs are bright for the team as a whole.

The club brought in a lot of new players, but that also meant the had to clear house to create space in the squad. Max Wober, Jack Harrison, Joel Piroe ad Largie Ramazani were a few of the names that departed.

Wilfried Gnonto, Lucas Perri and Sebastiaan Bornauw also followed; the trio played their part as solid contributors to the first team.

Unfortunately, the could not be guaranteed a place in the first team for this campaign, leading to them leaving on loan. Gnonto and Perri went to Italy, while Bornauw completed a loan move to the Bundesliga.

Perri had a rough start to the season, but Torino helped him out with special training sessions and he bounced back to form. Just last week, the Brazilian was praised for his form as the club went on an unbeaten streak.

The 28-year old has been slammed by Italian media after a poor showing in a 3-1 defeat to Como.

Tuttosport rated him 5.5 out of 10, with a harsh explanation for his rating: ”Until Como’s equalizer he must not make who knows what miraculous interventions. But he doesn’t come out on crosses and capitulates together with his defense.”

Perri’s inconsistencies will make a transfer deal more difficult

Lucas Perri is on loan at Torino, with a option to buy him at the end of the temporary spell.

There is no obligation or a clause to force the hand of the Serie A club, which means the decision to sign the Brazilian will be one that only the can make. And with how the 28-ear old has fared this season, there are concerns.

When he struggled initially, the club backed him and gave him special sessions to get up to speed.

And after a short spell where he finally looked like the keeper the wanted this summer, he has now been dragged back to Earth with a poor display.
