Leeds opened up an eight-point gap to the relegation zone on Saturday and now head to Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
That 3-0 win over Wolves, combined with Tottenham dropping points against Brighton a few hours later, has put Leeds in a strong position to stay up.
Daniel Farke has played down the survival talk and is urging his players to stay focused, but with just five games left, it would take a dramatic collapse for Leeds to go down.
Leeds are in a confident mood ahead of the trip to Dean Court on Wednesday night. However, they have a few injury issues to sort out ahead of the game.
Bournemouth vs Leeds injury news
Leeds put in two excellent performances against Manchester United and Wolves to pull clear of the relegation scrap.
However, it will be easy to forget that they were without one of their most influential midfielders, Anton Stach, who has been recovering from an ankle injury.
Daniel James has also been nursing an injury, and there is no clarity on whether they will be available for the game against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke expects the duo to return soon; he didn’t definitively rule them out of the game this week.
He said after the Wolves win: “I hope also Anton and Daniel James will be pretty soon also available really for the games, so as it stands, everyone came through without injuries.”
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola also have a few injury concerns ahead of the visit from Leeds.
Justin Kluivert is still recovering from a knee injury and is only likely to return to action just ahead of the end of the season next month.
Former Leeds star Lewis Cook will also miss the game against the Whites as he is still not ready after suffering a thigh injury.
Left-back Julio Soler is training with the squad. However, there are no guarantees that he will be fit to play against Leeds on Wednesday night.
The Whites are under less pressure ahead of the game
Bournemouth are on a club-record unbeaten run of 13 league games, and beat Arsenal and Newcastle away from home in their last two fixtures.
Fortunately, Leeds are not in a desperate need of three points after beating Manchester United and Wolves and are under far less pressure at the moment.
Daniel Farke can afford not to risk a player of Stach’s importance and look to have him fit and ready for the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea on Sunday.
However, they will be keen to get something from the game, and a point from Dean Court on Wednesday will be a good result.
