Leeds United confirmed their seventh signing of the summer with the arrival of goalkeeper Lucas Perri. The Brazilian is yet another addition from a club in Europe’s top five leagues.
The transfer process has been so smooth for the Whites, almost every target they identify ends up at the club days after the news breaks. Leeds have made sure that the players they sign are genuinely interested before an approach is made. This is what makes the transfers so quick for the club.
Lucas Perri revealed that moving to England was a ”dream come true” for him.
“I would like to say thanks for the trust and for the warm welcome that everyone has given to me. It’s incredible and a dream day come true.” he said speaking to LUTV.
“When I first heard that the interest could get into something serious and actually happen, I started to look for the videos of the stadium, of the atmosphere, the games, the highlights of the games so it was a really exciting moment for me.
“I was really, really glad for the interest of the club and afterwards everything was sorted out, the clubs agreed and it was a really nice feeling. It was incredible to sign here and I am very, very happy.”

One of the transfers that seem to have gone quiet is the move for Nikola Krstovic. Leeds were in contact with Lecce, but it seemed like the striker was not keen on a move to England.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport are now reporting that the Whites have made another proposal to the 25-year old. There were rumours that Roma had interest before they entered the market to sign Brighton star Evan Ferguson on loan.
Lecce club President could be involved
Lecce club president Saverio Sticchi Damiani was seen talking to Krstovic when he visited the team last week.
The Italian outlet also reported that the player personally turned down the proposal from Leeds United. It is said that the 25-year old is still holding out for a move to another club in Italy this summer.
Lecce are continuing their search to find his replacement, which could mean that the club will accept a deal for the Montenegro international soon.
Club needs to move on from Nikola Krstovic
A move for the striker does not seem worth it anymore. He has rejected proposals more than once, and does not look like he wants a move to England.
His preference seems to be staying in Italy. Leeds need to focus on other options based on the situation.
