Leeds United fans have learned that the ownership make the right decisions most of the time. Last summer, the club missed out on multiple big name targets.

They were snubbed by players like Rodrigo Muniz and Bilal El Khannouss.

But even after they were rejected, Leeds ended up signing very good players. They ended up with Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top, and landed Noah Okafor from AC Milan.

These players played a big part in securing survival last season.

Even signings like Jaka Bijol and James Justin that were criticized early in the season panned out.

This summer has been a bit different at Elland Road, as Leeds United have landed their first choice targets.

All three arrivals have been their priority targets; Harry Wilson, James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic.

And with the final weeks of the transfer window approaching, the Whites are not done with their spending yet. A lot of targets have been lined up, including potential moves for a striker and an attacker.

Ben Jacobs revealed weeks ago that Rafael Leao was offered to the 49ers.

And since then, the links have continued to grow. The AC Milan star is available this summer, with a host of clubs in the race. Nothing has been confirmed on Leeds’ end, but the player’s price tag is within range.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Leao has now been offered to AS Roma.

Jorge Mendes is pushing to try and secure a new transfer for the star Portuguese winger.

Leao has been offered to Manchester United and other top clubs in Europe, but nothing has reached an advanced stage as of now.

49ers’ project would appeal to Rafael Leao

Almost all the teams Rafael Leao has been linked with this summer are playing in European competitions.

It is clear that the player would like to continue playing in the best leagues and competitions in the continent.

However, interest from ‘elite’ clubs for the Portuguese winger seem to be lacking in the final weeks of the transfer window. Time is running out for him to leave AC Milan.

The 49ers have to go in hard in order to persuade Leao to come to Elland Road.

Leeds’ project is enticing; the club were able to land Dominic Calvert-Lewin last year and signed Harry Wilson this summer. They have also beaten many big clubs to players like Trafford, Muharemovic, Stach and Bijol. Rafael Leao would not feel out of place at the club.
