Leeds United were caught in the crossfire as Alan Brazil went on a rant on talkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday morning after Wednesday night’s reference.
Daniel Farke’s side sit seventh after a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Elland Road on Saturday, and have lost only once in the Premier League this season.
The Leeds manager conceded after the game that his squad may lack the quality to win these tight games against the Premier League’s bigwigs.
However, the 1-1 draw at Elland Road was mentioned in fiery Alan Brazil rant as he lambasted Manchester United following their 4-1 defeat at Como on Wednesday night.

Alan Brazil rants as Leeds get a mention in his fiery outburst

Michael Carrick talked about a fresh start after the 1-1 draw at Elland Road, but his Manchester United managerial reign probably ended at Lake Como on Wednesday night.
The performance was atrocious, and Bruno Fernandes blamed the manager for the tactics after the game, effectively ending Carrick’s reign, even though no announcements have been made yet.
Alan Brazil admitted that Manchester United’s fight on Sunday against Leeds made him feel they were turning a corner this season.
However, he compared Manchester United’s performance at Como to a third-division side playing a Premier League team in the FA Cup.
Brazil said: “I thought United were maybe turning a corner with the Leeds game.
“They dug in [at Elland Road on Sunday].
“In fact, I am watching them, thinking this is like an FA Cup game where a Premier League side were playing a third-division team.”

Leeds squandered a huge chance to beat Man United

Manchester United’s humiliating 4-1 defeat at Como has only strengthened the feeling that Leeds United missed a huge opportunity to take all three points at Elland Road on Sunday.
Michael Carrick’s side were already struggling for consistency before their trip to Italy, yet Leeds could not make their superiority count in a 1-1 draw. The Whites had more possession, created better chances after the break, and kept the visitors under pressure, but lacked the final-third quality to finish the job.
Como exposed Manchester United’s defensive frailties and their difficulty coping with an opponent willing to press aggressively. Leeds showed similar promise in spells, but failed to deliver the decisive blow when momentum was on their side.
A point against their bitter rivals is never worthless, but given Manchester United’s form, instability, and subsequent collapse in Italy, this feels like two dropped points. Leeds had them on the back foot and will regret not being more ruthless.
