A few weeks ago, Leeds United looked like they were on top of the world. Their start to this year’s Premier League season was impressive and many had high hopes for them.

Simon Jordan even tipped the Whites to be one of the teams on the fringes of challenging for a European spot.

And many were impressed when Leeds came out of the other side of the international break in good form. Facing Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Brentford in the first five games this season was difficult.

In the last few weeks, thing have taken a turn for the worst.

Since the big win over Newcastle United at Elland Road, Daniel Farke’s side have failed to win a game. And now the recent defeat to Bournemouth has set off alarm bells among the fanbase.

The team just cannot put games to bed, and this has been very clear in the last few games.

Leeds had to come from behind to get a draw against Man United, but had chances to win the game. In the goalless draw at the stadium of light, they had chances but failed to score.

Daniel Farke has been blamed for how bad the team has been playing recently – he was criticised for how the Whites set up against Bournemouth.

Fans have also made their voices heard after recent results. All this has developed in the last few weeks, amidst news that the German is up for a contract extension this season.

Some have even said that Farke could be sacked if this run goes on.

TEAMtalk are now reporting that the 49ers have no plans to stop Daniel Farke’s contract renewal. He will get a new deal down the line because the ownership have long term plans.

Patience is the right decision by the 49ers

Just like last year, when things were not going well, the club chose to analyse the situation before jumping into a decision.

Last season, the 49ers kept the faith with Farke and did not pull the gun. And things went very well, as the team turned their season around and picked up enough points to survive relegation.

And it looks like the club is at another crossroads moment.

Leeds are not in great form even though their start to the ear has been impressive. Firing Farke now would be mistake, there are a lot of games between now and the end of the year for him to turn things around.

A poor three game run is not enough to undo the work Farke has done for years. He deserves a new contract and should get it.

tbf the board need to look at their head of recruitment and getting rid of him before even looking at Farke.Underwood failed yet again, this time in not finding another centre forward all the fanbase knew Farke needed in his squad.it is the final third of the pitch we all knew we were short in quality that needed adressing in the summer.

Put the new Farke contract on hold, see where the team league position is in the new year would be my advice. What’s the rush.
