Leeds United are in a tricky period of form, and Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth has exposed key issues in their squad.

The Whites will prepare for another tough game next weekend when Tottenham will arrive at Elland Road for a big Premier League clash in Yorkshire.

Tottenham have hit form after a poor start to the season, and Leeds will be under some pressure to get a result at home after a run of five league games without a win.

However, Leeds have a few injury scares ahead of the big game on Saturday, and as many as three players are doubts for the Spurs clash at Elland Road.

Leeds sweating over fitness of three players barring Joe Rodon

Joe Rodon recently returned to training after recovering from a hamstring injury, and Farke will assess this week whether he is ready to return to the matchday squad.

However, Leeds will closely monitor the fitness of three more players this week before deciding ahead of the Tottenham clash.

Noah Okafor missed the Bournemouth defeat with an abductor issue, and Leeds will assess the severity this week and decide whether he is ready for Spurs.

Gabriel Gudmundsson was also seen limping after being substituted late in the game, adding another injury worry ahead of the Tottenham clash.

James Justin took painkillers in the second half at Bournemouth to continue on the pitch, which suggests that he could be carrying an injury.

With Leeds struggling, Farke needs his best players on the pitch. But at the moment the squad seem to be limping with form and injury concerns.

Leeds need a home win on Saturday

The Whites cannot afford another frustrating afternoon at Elland Road. Saturday’s meeting with Tottenham has become a significant opportunity for Daniel Farke’s side to arrest a worrying slide and give their supporters something to believe in again.

The defeat at Bournemouth followed a 0-0 draw at Sunderland, a 1-1 stalemate with Manchester United and a 2-1 loss at Arsenal. Leeds have now gone five league matches without a win, scoring just twice in that period. Their inability to turn decent spells into goals is becoming a serious concern, and Farke needs a response.

Winning against Tottenham would do more than add three points. It would restore confidence, reward the supporters who have continued to back the team, and prevent this poor run from becoming a bigger problem. Leeds have already shown at Elland Road, particularly in the 4-1 win over Newcastle, what they can produce when they play with intensity and conviction.

A home victory would be a statement that they can compete with established Premier League sides. Farke needs his players to rediscover that belief, and there is no better occasion than Saturday.
