Leeds United are unbeaten to start this new season; the club have so far met the fanbases high expectations. But last weekend’s result would have raised some concerns.
After two wins over Oliver Glasner’s Nottingham Forest side, they came up against Brentford.
Keith Andrews’ men had won their last few games, scoring nine goals in the process. But when they came to Elland Road on Sunday, the game went very differently for the visitors.
Brentford took the lead just before half time as Kevin Schade scored an early contender for goal of the season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalized late in the game to seal a point for Daniel Farke’s men. But the home side had to hang on for the result as they absorbed pressure for most of the game.

Leaving the game against Brentford unscathed was a huge positive, as the team can carry on their momentum.
This weekend Leeds United are on the road once again, as they face Brighton on Saturday. Fabian Hurzeler’s side have won one game and lost one game in the Premier League so far.
Opta’s Super computer has given the home side a 50.4% chance of winning the game.
Leeds will be without Joe Rodon for this weekend’s game after he picked up an injury against Brentford. Daniel Farke confirmed that the centre back is out for eight to ten weeks with a hamstring injury.
He is unlikely to feature for the Whites until after the next international break.
“Bad news with Rodon. Serious hamstring injury. Out for eight to 10 weeks. Big blow for us. Key player.”

Leeds have depth in defence now
With Joe Rodon out, the club will be missing a quality player and leader.
But with the business done in the transfer window this summer, Leeds have more than enough depth to replace him.
The club added Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi, and the latest addition Melvin Bard can play left centre back. Daniel Farke has also used James Justin at centre back, so there are a lot of options.
His injury will rule him out for a couple of months.
But as a team, Leeds are very organized and hard to break down as seen this season. Farke’s men will feel Rodon’s absence, but they are very prepared for it this season.
