Leeds United managed their fourth clean sheet in 10 games this season. They left the Stadium of Light with a point on Sunday.
Sunderland failed to get a result as their poor form in the league continues, but at least Regis Le Bris’ men ended their four game losing streak.
It was a match of missed chances as both sides failed to capitalize on clear chances. Leeds continue to struggle to put games away because their attack cannot regularly find the back of the net.
Ultimately a draw was the best result, but both fanbases will be a bit disappointed.
The Leeds defence showed their quality once again on Sunday, keeping out a dangerous Sunderland side.
Daniel Farke warned about £15m Leeds star ahead of Bournemouth clash

Up next for Daniel Farke’s men is a game away to Bournemouth.
The Cherries embarrassed Manchester United at Old Trafford, which is not a good sign for Leeds United.
Farke will be expected to continue with the same back five, but Jon Newsome has called for the German to replace Jaka Bijol with Nico Elvedi. He thinks the Slovenian’s lack of pace could be exposed against Bournemouth.
“I thought he [Bijol] did well. Nice and steady in difficult circumstances, difficult conditions”, Newsome said on BBC Radio Leeds.
“Dealt well with it and looked really assured. He’ll be happy with his performance.
“It’s a difficult one [for the Bournemouth game]. I think Daniel Farke likes Elvedi.
“The one thing about Bijol which he slightly struggles with is his pace. He’s just not the quickest and I think Bournemouth you’ve got quick lads at the top of the pitch.
“Elvedi, is he able to deal with that a bit better? That for me is the reason he potentially gets the nod.”

Newsome is making a valid point
Bournemouth tore Man United apart this weekend. Their brand of fast attacking football was too much for Michael Carrick’s side.
The pace of Rayan and Tavernier in behind caused all sorts of problems.
Carrick even had to change their defensive structure to prevent being overwhelmed.
Bijol is a solid defender who dominates his box, but he can get caught out with pace in behind. So making the change could be a good solution next weekend.
But this Leeds team have already showed they can shut down any attack regardless of the quality they are up against.
Spot on, Bijol will be roasted by anyone who can really run.
