Daniel Farke is still Leeds United boss and will sign a new deal soon. His future has been heavily discussed at the club for the last few months.
The work he has done since taking over in 2023 has been nothing short of impressive.
The 49ers reportedly targeted him because of his experience; having helped Norwich win promotion multiple times. He almost achieved that in his first season in charge of the Whites but fell short in the play off final.
And the aftermath of that defeat saw a mass exodus from the club. Premier League clubs swooped for Leeds’ best players.
Despite all this, Farke was able to guide the team to another impressive campaign.
He won Premier League promotion, lifting the Championship along the way.

The Leeds boss has now clearly established himself as a ‘Premier League’ coach. Many coaches have been promoted and failed at the first hurdle, but Farke has taken his chance.
As of now he remains one of the best coaches in the club’s modern history.
Speaking of Leeds United and their history of coaches, a former boss has returned to English football. After 16 years away from the EFL, Kevin Blackwell has been appointed as interim coach for Crawley Town.
Blackwell’s last coaching job in England was with Sheffield United in 2010.
The 67-year old joined Leeds in 2003, and made the jump up from Assistant Coach to head coach. He was tasked with rebuilding the side after they had lost players due to financial difficulties.
Blackwell guided Leeds to the Championship Play off final in 2006, but lost to Watford in the end.

Can Blackwell save Crawley?
It is very hard to tell at this point of the season, but five points is a horrible start. Crawley are bottom of League Two with just five points from 10 games this season.
The club need six points to climb out of the relegation zone.
Yes, there are a number of fixtures to play, but the mere fact that Crawley reached out to Blackwell shows that there is a lot to fix.
Hopefully the former Leeds boss can still work his magic. There should be huge concern, as his last job in England ended with him being sacked as Bury were near the bottom of the table in League Two.
