Leeds United have made a solid start to the season and sit seventh in the Premier League after their 1-1 home draw with Manchester United on Sunday.
The Whites will travel to the Stadium of Light to face a struggling Sunderland side, who have lost their last four Premier League games and sit 19th.
Sunderland will also be without suspended Kevin Danso and injured Dan Ballard, and as things stand, Leeds are the favourites to win on the road.
However, former Leeds star Michael Bridges has admitted he is more worried about the home game against Tottenham than facing Sunderland away next weekend.

The former Leeds star is wary of Tottenham

Roberto De Zerbi’s side finally ended their winless start to the Premier League season with a 3-1 home victory over Coventry City on Monday night.
Former Leeds star Bridges has admitted he’s seen major signs of improvement in the Spurs side and believes the manager is finally getting them ticking.
He feels Leeds will take care of business against a struggling Sunderland side that will be involved in Europe before hosting the Whites next weekend.
However, Spurs will visit Elland Road on 7th November, and the former Spurs star has major worries about that game.
Bridges said on LUTV: “I’ve seen a turn in Spurs this season over the last few matches, where they’re in the groove.
“They’re getting so many final-third opportunities, and they’re starting to tick.
“You can see De Zerbi now; the frustration’s gone.
“Some of the players are understanding the roles and responsibilities.
“That game worries me more than going to Sunderland because I see Sunderland travelling around Europe, and the smaller squad they have is affecting them.
“With the suspension and Dan Ballard being out injured, I think we can go there and get three points.
“However, with the Spurs game, I’d be happy to take a draw.”

Leeds must be favourites against Spurs at home

Michael Bridges might be happy to take a point against Tottenham next month, but Leeds United should be aiming higher when Spurs visit Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s side have shown they can compete with established Premier League opposition, and home advantage should count for plenty in this fixture.
Tottenham may be improving under Roberto De Zerbi, but a few encouraging performances should not suddenly make them favourites against Leeds on their own patch.
The Whites have the crowd behind them, and if they bring the intensity they showed against Manchester United, Spurs could find themselves in an uncomfortable afternoon.
Leeds should respect Tottenham’s attacking threat, but there is no reason to approach the game with a defeatist mindset. Bridges can settle for a draw if he wants, but Leeds need to believe they can win. Elland Road should be a place where they expect three points, not hope for one.
