Leeds United opened their Premier League campaign with a hard-fought away win over Nottingham Forest earlier today as they got off to a flying start at the City Ground.
Anton Stach scored a free-kick late in the game to break the deadlock and win the away side the game 1-0 when it seemed they were going to share the points with Forest.
Daniel Farke will be happy to see his side score a win away from home on the first day of the season, given their record on the road was not best last season.
However, one more former Leeds star is celebrating a unique feat today after breaking a Premier League record that has set him apart from some legendary players.

Archie Gray makes Tottenham history
Tottenham have had several changes over the summer and spent big to try and ensure they improve from their performances in the last two seasons.
Big-name players have arrived on huge fees this summer, but Archie Gray has remained a constant, and he is now emerging as the leader of the team.
Roberto De Zerbi handed the 20-year-old former Leeds star the captain’s armband ahead of their away game at Brentford today.
Sandro Tonali is in the team, and a few big-name players are his teammates today. However, Gray has been given the captain’s responsibilities.
He has now become the youngest player to captain Tottenham in a competitive match, beating Steve Perryman’s record of 20 years and 260 days.
It is a huge responsibility on young shoulders, but it shows how much trust the management has in the youngster that he is now the Spurs captain.
Leeds are proud of Archie Gray
The midfielder is one of the finest players to come out of the Leeds academy in recent years and was brilliant for the Whites at a very young age.
Leeds had little option but to sell him in 2024 due to financial reasons once they failed to earn promotion to the Premier League at the end of that campaign.
However, the Whites fans have a deep affinity not only because of the family he belongs to but also because of the quality of player he has developed into in the last few years.
Leeds fans will be delighted to see Gray making a name for himself in the Premier League and getting the captain’s armband at Tottenham.
They hope that at some point in his career he returns to Leeds and become a leader of the team he is a boyhood fan of.
