Leeds United drew 1-1 with Manchester United at Elland Road today, and one Whites star again showed why he deserves a spot in the England squad.
The Yorkshire giants could have and should have done more to pile on Manchester United’s misery and beaten a struggling team at home on Saturday.
However, both sides dug deep, gave each other no inch, and played out a hard-fought draw, which felt fair given how the game panned out.
But a Leeds star again showed his qualities and why he should be in the England squad soon; even Gary Neville now agrees.

Gary Neville gives his England endorsement to Jayden Bogle

The former England and Manchester United defender has insisted that Leeds’ threat has a lot to do with Bogle’s quality as a wing-back.
He stressed that the Leeds wing-back should definitely be in the mix for England and believes if the Three Lions start playing a back five, he must be in the squad.
Neville is a big fan of Bogle’s energy and the quality of his crosses from the right.
He said on Sky Sports: “You look at the way he [Bogle] plays; there is a lot of quality coming from that right-hand side for Leeds. He is a big part of it.
“I would certainly say he is in the mix [for an England call-up], and he would definitely be in if England start playing with wing-backs.
“He put great balls into the box, and he is full of energy. It is obviously a position England have been blessed in over the years, but he deserves to be in the mix.”

Bogle’s time has come

Thomas Tuchel and England cannot keep overlooking Jayden Bogle when discussing their right-back options. The Leeds United defender deserves a place in the conversation, especially given how important he has become to Daniel Farke’s side.
Bogle offers more than just defensive cover. His energy, willingness to drive forward and ability to provide an attacking outlet make him a valuable option in a position where England have several candidates but no reason to shut the door on fresh competition.
Playing for Leeds means he regularly faces Premier League opposition, and those performances should count for something. International selection should be based on form and suitability, not reputation alone.
Tuchel doesn’t have to hand Bogle a place in the squad tomorrow, but he should at least seriously consider him.
