Leeds United have already seen some exits early in this transfer window, and there could be more to come. The new season begins in the next few weeks, and the transfer deadline draws closer.
Jack Harrison, Isaac Schmidt and Pascal Struijk have left Elland Road on permanent transfers.
Leeds have also lost Karl Darlow and Illan Meslier, who left as free agents. Max Wober also left the club as a free agent, terminating his contract before joining German side Schalke.
With quite a number of players on the fringes of the team, more exits should be expected.
The likes of Largie Ramazani and Joe Gelhardt are set to leave, with clubs showing keen interest. Hull City and Birmingham City have registered their interest in Gelhardt, while Valencia are still waiting on Ramazani.
Former club boss hopeful of transfer deal for Leeds United star
Leeds United have some way to go in terms of achieving their targets for this transfer window.
Per Sky Sports, the club could go after five more players following the signing of James Trafford. A backup goalkeeper, a fullback, two midfielders and a center forward are among potential targets.
This past week has seen Sebastiaan Bornauw strongly linked with an exit.
The defender has been active in pre-season, featuring in most games. HSV are said to be keen on the defender, as he is on their shortlist for this summer window. They are yet to make an official approach.
Bornauw’s former coach at FC Koln, Friedhelm Funkel, says he’s hopeful that the centerback will end up back in the Bundesliga.
“I’m keeping my fingers crossed for HSV,” he told Hamburger Abendblatt.
“Sebastian is a model professional with a 100 percent attitude. He’ll still be that way today. He’s a great person and was a crucial factor for us.
“Sebastiaan is very strong in duels and in the air, and very reliable. What he said within the team was always taken very seriously.”

Sebastiaan Bornauw will jump at chance for first team football
Last season, Sebastiaan Bornauw only managed 17 appearances in all competitions.
And a chunk of these games came when the main starters in the first team were injured. Bornauw made his first Premier League appearance in December of last year.
Jaka Bijol, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk and even James Justin were ahead of him in the pecking order.
The defender almost left the club in January, but Leeds blocked the move as they needed cover in defence. With HSV now seriously interested in a move for the Belgian, he could choose to leave.
The prospect of being a starter in a top level team will appeal to him over spending another season on the bench in England.
