Leeds United have officially announced the signing of James Trafford on a permanent deal. This has now put to bed the concerns of many fans in the last few weeks.
Talks started before the club made their trip to the US for a training camp.
But the talks seemed to be going on for a while with no end in sight. Club sources revealed that the deal only took long as some final details needed to be sorted out before the transfer could be sealed.
Trafford is now a Leeds player after having been their priority target this summer.
The 49ers still have a lot of business to conclude as the new season approaches in the coming weeks.

Sky sources revealed that Leeds still have a long list of potential signings in this window.
The list includes a backup goalkeeper, a fullback, a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and a striker. So now the 49ers need to push to complete a few more singings before the transfer deadline.
News has emerged over the last couple of hours that the Whites are eyeing a move for Paraguay keeper Orlando Gill.
It is believed he is the main target when it comes to Leeds United finding a backup goalkeeper. Reports claim that there have been talks and an approach has been made by the club.
However, Sky Sports’ Zinny Boswell has revealed that Gill is only one of multiple targets.
‘Leeds have a shortlist of at least five goalkeepers as they plot their search for James Trafford’s deputy.
San Lorenzo’s Orlando Gilll is one of the options they like, but they have not made an offer to the Argentinian club, contrary to reports in the player’s native Paraguay.’

Backup goalkeeper’s role should be made clear
With Leeds having had issues with goalkeepers over the last few seasons, they need to make things clear to any potential arrivals.
Whichever keeper comes after James Trafford will be second choice. They will most likely have no chance of becoming a starter due to how high the hierarchy rate the England international.
So it makes no sense for the Whites to spend too much money on adding a backup.
Ideally, any signing should be in the mould of Karl Darlow. When the veteran was brought in a few seasons ago, it was on a cheap deal and he knew his role in the firs team.
I am pleased to hear the 49ers are continuing to press ahead a d strengthen. We also need to move on a number of squad players soon. Potentially this could raise further funds. Expect a flurry of activity in the next couple of weeks.
Orlanda Gill would be excellent, but really do not see him signing as no.2 keeper
