Leeds United ended their last pre-season game in stunning fashion, as they beat Liverpool in Chicago. The Whites managed a comeback win over Andoni Iraola’s men.
They ended their trip to the US with a win, and only lost one game out of the three.
The Liverpool match started out on a very difficult note, with Leeds having gone two goals down in the first half. After Daniel Farke’s substitutions and tinkering, his side managed to score four goals to win the game.
A brace from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and a goal and assist from Brenden Aaronson helped seal the deal.
Leeds United star speaks out ahead of new season
Aaronson played a huge part in the win over Liverpool, being the spark of the comeback.
The American midfielder has spoken about the upcoming friendlies against RB Liepzig, Augsburg and Manchester United. He also mentioned what he is looking forward to this season.
“We have a lot of really good friendlies coming up,” the 25-year-old told LUTV.
“Of course, we have Manchester United in Dublin. We have Leipzig at the weekend coming up. We have Augsburg after that.
“It is crazy to say that we are only halfway through pre-season! We are looking forward to these next three games to get some more minutes under our legs and then get us ready for the new season.
“It has been a good summer where I got to work on a lot of things. I got to get better. That is my goal to transfer what I have been doing this pre-season so far and then, yeah, bring it into the year.”

Will Brenden Aaronson leave this summer?
Brenden Aaronson is in the final 12 months of his contract at Elland Road.
Reports have suggested that Leeds have held talks with him over a new deal, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Daniel Farke is a big fan of the midfielder, which could play a part in his future.
This summer will determine Aaronson’s future going forward.
If he fails to sign a new contract before January, he will be free to talk to other clubs ahead of next summer. Leeds could also cash in on him to avoid losing him for nothing.
But there are reports that Leeds are looking at signing a central midfielder and an attacking midfielder, which could move Aaronson down the pecking order. So it will be an interesting situation to follow.
