Leeds United are back in cup action midweek up against Premier League rivals Chelsea. Daniel Farke has given a quick update on the availability of some first team players.
The Whites are coming off a draw away to Brighton this weekend.
It was a game that many Leeds fans expected their side to win considering the multiple chances they had. But they failed to convert, and the home side took advantage to steal a result.
They cannot continue this complacency ahead of their League Cup tie with the Blues.
Xabi Alonso’s men are coming off a defeat to Premier League holders Arsenal, and will be hoping to bounce back with a result.

A lot is on the line for these teams, with an early place in the next round.
Last season both Chelsea and Leeds United did not fare well in the League Cup, but clashed in the FA Cup semifinal.
In Tuesday’s press conference, Daniel Farke gave an update on the first team ahead of the game. Joe Rodon is the only long term absentee, while Dan James has a slight problem.
”Joe Rodon obviously a a long-term injury. Little question mark behind Daniel James, he reported in the warm-up at Brighton some issues with his back and hamstring. Scan results good, no new injury.”
”He just had an individual session today which was okay. We have two more sessions, one this afternoon and light session tomorrow morning/ If he comes through this then he’s available. Little question mark but carefully optimistic.”

Daniel Farke has a good record against the Blues
Leeds should be confident going into this game, seeing as they were unbeaten against the Blues last year.
Farke’s men sprung a surprise win at Elland Road outclassing Enzo Maresca, and the team clawed back from goals down to rescue a point at Stamford Bridge.
The Whites are in great form, having continued their unbeaten start to the season.
Chelsea will also be without multiple players including the likes of Moises Caicedo and Marco Palestra. Leeds will be hoping the absence of key players will work in their favour on Wednesday.
The Blues have been leaking goals all season and will be put to the test when they face the Leeds attack.
