Leeds United are preparing for their upcoming game against Tottenham on Monday night. After the Whites beat Burnley, things around Elland Road have gotten calmer.
The club looked to be in trouble when West Ham and Spurs both got wins in the league over a week ago. But Daniel Farke’s men have kept their composure and shown their mentality during this run. The team are on a six-game unbeaten run and could clinch Premier League safety as early as this weekend. But before that, they have three games left in the league, starting with an important visit to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Jamie O’Hara makes huge Tottenham claim ahead of Leeds clash
Leeds have navigated their way out of trouble, but Tottenham are still in danger. New boss Roberto De Zerbi has overseen back-to-back wins by the London side. And they have been buoyed after West Ham slipped up last weekend. This makes the game on Monday night very important.
But ahead of the match against Leeds, Jamie O’Hara has been speaking about Spurs’ future, saying that they will become a Champions League club once again next season.
”Now we’ve got the manager. This manager, Roberto De Zerbi, can take this club. I believe.” he said on Sky Sports Fan Club.
”Well, I think next season, if we stay up, and I know this is a big statement… If we stay up with Roberto De Zerbi, we’ll be dangerous next season. I think we can get Champions League.”
”…We have got a proper manager in charge. I reckon we could get in the Champions League,…”
”Next season, I think we’ll get Champions League football. We won’t have European football.
”Listen, I’m saying all this, we gotta stay up. Let’s forget all that chat. We’ve got to stay up. This manager is top draw.”

Outrageous submission by the former Spurs man
O’Hara’s submission is quite frankly ridiculous; any slip up from Tottenham now could land them back in the relegation zone. And to assume his former side will stroll through their remaining games is quite disrespectful to Leeds fans and the other fanbases of the team they are yet to face. The Whites have already pulled off upsets against Manchester United and Bournemouth over the last month, so Spurs cannot take Monday night’s game for granted. The London side only managed a win in the reverse fixture at Elland Road due to very poor goalkeeping.
