Leeds United were active in the summer window in their build up to this season. The board went all out on their transfer targets.
They only missed out on big names like Julian Brandt and Shea Charles, but they landed huge deals.
James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic arrived for around £70 million combined. Then the team also added Harry Wilson, Nico Elvedi and Jean-Matteo Bahoya among others.
The 49ers built a decent squad to survive another season in the top flight.

Leeds United’s opponents this weekend shocked the Premier League, spending over £200 million.
Their poor start to the season saw people criticize them and mock the transfers, but Roberto De Zerbi has set the team on course in the last few weeks.
Ahead of the game between Spurs and Leeds, Daniel Farke has had his say on the London club’s ability to spend big.
”Can be jealous as an opposition manager after seeing what they can spend after finishing low in the table. Spent unbelievable amount of money, we are not in this position yet.
”Spurs have spent way more years in the Premier League, we are on the way to establish ourselves. But we’re not jealous at all, just super happy to be able to work with my players. I always back them.
”Perhaps we don’t have the individual quality but we’re Leeds United, we have to earn it, we can’t bend the rules and spend crazy money.”

Not spending is not really an excuse
Farke was right in his submission, but he has done so much with this Leeds team on a budget.
He has built the core of the team and added a few parts since taking charge in 2023.
The Leeds boss earned the right to have the 49ers invest after a stunning season in the top flight.
The ownership will continue to invest in the team, but first, the manager has to take them to a different level. Fans must hope that can happen this season.
