Leeds United still have a few games to go until the end of the season. After their FA Cup exit at Wembley, the club can solely focus on their remaining league games.

The Whites will face Burnley on Friday night, with a huge chance to clinch their safety. Leeds have 40 points so far, and a result could see them confirm their place in the top flight next season. Things at the bottom of the table are looking interesting after West Ham and Spurs won their games last weekend. The season is not over yet, but it looks like the 49ers already have plans for the summer.

Leeds keen on Bayern Munich star

Leeds have been linked with Lois Openda, as the club continues to look for competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The striker’s goal drought earlier this year prompted discussions at Elland Road. And the club could add a few more attacking signings including Martial Godo, and most recently Ayase Ueda.

According to SportsBoom, the Whites are looking at Bayern Munich star Hiroki Ito ahead of this summer. The Japanese star moved to the German champions over a year ago, but has not found his feet at the club. Injuries have kept him out for a long time, but when he has been fit, he has not been the preferred choice for Vincent Kompany. And heading into this summer, the club are planning a clear out, with Ito said to be one of the first names on the list. Bayern will give the green light if they receive an ”acceptable” offer for the defender, who joined the club for around £21.7 million.

Whites could be planning for shock exit

These past few weeks have seen Leeds linked with two defenders; Ladislav Krejci and Santiago Bueno from Wolves. Over the last week reports have emerged that the Whites are keen on both players. Which is pointing to the fact that there could be some departures in the summer.

Krecji is a left footed center back so Leeds potentially eyeing him could be a sign. The report last time out suggested that the player is open to a move and that personal terms would not be an issue. Pascal Struijk could be available to other clubs this summer, with his contract expiring next year. If he does not sign, it is a clear sign he will leave, as the likes of Newcastle and Aston Villa are very interested.

Another player who could leave the club is Sebastiaan Bornauw. Since arriving at Elland Road, he has not been given a fair chance at the first team. And when he has played, he has looked very good. But with Farke preferring James Justin as the third center back, Bornauw’s future is shaky.
