The 49ers have done a solid job in this transfer window for Leeds United. The fanbase were critical of the club’s transfers last year, but they all worked out for the best.

Leeds got a lot of quality starters last summer, including Anton Stach and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Daniel Farke helped guide this team to a 14th-placed finish in the Premier League, with an impressive rally in the middle of the season.

Near the end of the campaign, Farke urged the ownership to invest in the transfer window. He warned that surviving a second season in the top flight would need the team to add some serious quality.

Leeds have signed Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic and James Trafford with other deals in progress.

The club have had to sell too with Pascal Struijk, Isaac Schmidt, Jack Harrison and Joe Gelhardt leaving.

Leeds United promotion hero now a target for Premier League rivals

Schmidt joined Young Boys, Harrison went to the MLS and Struijk joined Brighton.

Joe Gelhardt left Leeds United to join Hull City. The forward had been on loan with the Tigers for the most part of the last two seasons and has now joined them on a permanent deal.

Hull are now looking at signing another player with ties to Leeds.

According to Fichajes, the newly-promoted Premier League side are eyeing a move for Junior Firpo.

The former Leeds United player is said to be open to a move away from Spain. However, Hull City would need to match his wages he currently earns with the La Liga side for him to consider a move.

Daniel Farke could do with a left back

In recent days, it has been clear that the Whites need reinforcements down the left flank.

Gabriel Gudmundsson picked up a hamstring injury against Liverpool in Chicago and will miss the league opener against Nottingham Forest next week.

Leeds do not have a natural left footed left back to back up the Swedish international.

Jayden Lienou impressed in pre-season, but it does not look like Farke will trust him to be Gudmundsson’s full time deputy.

Max Aarons has popped up on the radar, with reports suggesting that the 49ers are looking at him as an option. But nothing has been confirmed, with weeks to go until the transfer deadline.
