Leeds will need to pay £5.3million to land new manager

Leeds United have reportedly contacted former Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo in their search for a new coach.

The 49-year old is currently at Saudi side Al-Ittihad since leaving the Premier League. Nuno is the latest target for Leeds who are yet to replace Jesse Marsch. The Whites dismissed the American coach after a poor run on games which saw Leeds win just two games since November.

However, the Portuguese manager will not come cheap. According to The Times, Leeds would reportedly have to pay £5.3million if they decide to offer him the job. Nuno has vast Premier League experience having managed Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur.

His first season in the Premier League saw him keep Wolves in the top flight, with impressive defensive performances which earned him a move to Spurs. If Leeds bring him in, they would hope he can drill a solid unit as he did at the Molineux to keep the club in the top flight.
