Leeds United continued their strong pre-season with a 2-0 win over RB Leipzig at Elland Road on Saturday, giving Daniel Farke another encouraging result ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The Whites have also made their intentions clear in the transfer market. They brought in Harry Wilson on a free transfer before spending £34m to sign Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo.
Leeds then broke their transfer record last week, paying £45m to bring James Trafford in from Manchester City. The England international is expected to take over as Farke’s first-choice goalkeeper when the new season gets underway.
However, Daniel Farke has indicated that he wants more quality added to his squad before the transfer window, and the spending around Leeds suggests the manager is right.

Leeds United relegation rivals set to splash £90m
The Whites finished a respectable 14th in the Premier League table last season and had survival wrapped up with games to spare.
However, the money flowing in the Premier League means that Leeds cannot afford to relax, and despite talk of progress this summer, survival would still be the biggest goal next season.
Tottenham, one of the teams that finished below Leeds, have splashed out heavily this summer and are unlikely to be in the relegation mix in the 20256/27 campaign.
And now one more team, who were below Leeds, are now prepared to splash the cash this summer.
According to Sky Sports News, Nottingham Forest are on the verge of signing Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Dembele this summer.
Leeds looked at the centre-back before opting to sign Tarik Muharemovic this summer, and Dembele is now on his way to Forest.
They have agreed on a deal worth around £35m, and the defender will undergo a medical with Forest in the next 24 hours.
Forest are also interested in Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, who is expected to leave the Etihad this summer.
Forest are prepared to offer as much as £55m for the midfielder ahead of the end of the transfer window.
Leeds United need more signings
The 49ers have done well to bring in three top-quality signings in Harry Wilson, Muharemovic and Trafford this summer. But the club need a few more.
Leeds still need a backup goalkeeper as Alex Cairns is only third choice. They could move for Nick Pope, who was left out of Newcastle’s pre-season game on Saturday night.
The Whites still need a striker who can support and even replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin when needed, and they are yet to sign a versatile attacker whom they have been pushing to sign all summer.
Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury has exposed a problem area of their squad, and Leeds are in the market for a backup full-back.
No point flapping. Leeds can only spend what our income allows. Assuming we get some.players out we will see 4-5 players in I reckon but honestly not too worried. Starting 11 looks pretty good, No point worrying about what everyone else is doing 🤷♀️
