Leeds United continued their impressive pre-season with a 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig at Elland Road on Saturday, giving Daniel Farke another positive result ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The club have also made their intentions clear in the transfer market. Harry Wilson arrived on a free transfer before Leeds spent £34m to bring Tarik Muharemovic in from Sassuolo.
They then broke their transfer record last week by signing James Trafford from Manchester City for £45m, with the England international expected to start the season as Farke’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The investment in Wilson and the £79m spent on Muharemovic and Trafford underline Leeds’ ambition this summer. But there is still work to do, with the club needing to move on several players who are no longer part of Farke’s plans before the window closes.

Leeds United need to make room in the squad before the transfer window closes, with Daniel Farke still having several players who are not part of his plans.
The Whites are keen to add another striker, but Joel Piroe remains at Elland Road for now. They are also open to offers for Wilfried Gnonto, who has slipped down the pecking order and is no longer viewed as a key part of the squad.
Largie Ramazani is another player Leeds are keen to move on. The winger was left out of the club’s pre-season plans, but a transfer has yet to materialise.
Valencia remain interested after his loan spell in Spain last season, but the two clubs have been unable to agree a deal so far, with the Spanish side unwilling to meet Leeds’ asking price.
According to Spanish journalist German Munoz, Valencia chief executive Ron Gourlay recently held talks with Ramazani and his camp over a return to the Mestalla.
The Spanish club have not given up on signing the Belgian, who’d also prefer to return to the Mestalla, where he found a new lease of life last season.
Valencia are also set to receive a financial boost in the coming days, which should give them more room to negotiate a deal with Leeds.
The Spaniards are still pushing to sign him on another loan deal, while the Whites are insisting on a permanent sale.

Leeds United are running out of options with Largie Ramazani
Largie Ramazani’s future at Leeds United looks increasingly clear, with Daniel Farke leaving him out of the club’s pre-season tour.
The Leeds boss did not rely heavily on the Belgian during their Championship campaign, and there is little to suggest his view has changed. With Harry Wilson already signed and Leeds still looking to add another player on the left, Ramazani appears to have little chance of forcing his way back into Farke’s plans.
His absence from pre-season has effectively confirmed that Leeds are looking for a way to move him on. That puts the club in a difficult negotiating position, as Valencia and other interested sides know Leeds are keen to find a solution and may simply wait for the asking price to fall as the deadline approaches.
Leeds could therefore have to accept a lower fee than they originally wanted or settle for another loan if they are to get Ramazani off the books this summer.
