Leeds United continued their strong pre-season with a 2-0 win over RB Leipzig at Elland Road on Saturday, giving Daniel Farke’s side another encouraging result ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The Whites have also shown plenty of ambition in the transfer market. They brought in Harry Wilson on a free transfer before spending £34 million on Tarik Muharemovic.
Leeds then broke their transfer record again last week by paying £45 million to sign James Trafford from Manchester City, with the England international set to start the season as Farke’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The money committed to Wilson and the combined £79 million spent on Muharemovic and Trafford underline Leeds’ ambitions this summer. However, the club still have work to do at the other end of the squad, with several unwanted players needing to be moved on before the transfer window closes.

Daniel Farke reveals stance on ‘disappointed’ players
The Leeds boss has revealed that no one has told him that they want to leave the club, despite the impending departure of goalkeeper Lucas Perri.
He doesn’t believe the squad are too big, but conceded that things could happen before the end of the transfer window.
Farke conceded that there are a few disappointed players in the squad but insisted that everyone seems happy and in a good mood at the moment.
He is not ruling out player exits, but stressed that he is not expecting too many outgoings.
“We will see. So far, no one has knocked at my door to say that he wants to leave”, Farke said after the RB Leipzig game.
“It’s also not that the group is too big at the moment. So yeah, let’s see what happens once we edge closer to the start.
“Perhaps also after the first one or two games, a few players are perhaps a bit more disappointed; then it’s more likely that someone would knock at my door. But it seems like everyone is in a good mood, everyone is happy.
“I’m happy with all my boys. I bring them all my respect. Everyone who’s involved gets all my attention. All chances also to shine. Also today [we had] many, many young players on the pitch. Seventeen-year-olds against a Champions League side.
“So for that, yeah, first team players at the moment, I’m happy to have all of them. It’s more or less to add a few more because for a long season we can’t just rely on 17-year-olds or too many players from under-21.
“For that, I don’t expect too much business on the outgoing side, but I also won’t rule anything out.”
Leeds United will need a few to leave
Despite Farke’s comments, Leeds United are still expected to see a few players leave before the transfer window closes as the club looks to raise funds and trim the squad.
Lucas Perri is closing in on a move to Torino, while Leeds are also prepared to listen to offers for Sebastiaan Bornauw if the right bid arrives.
Largie Ramazani remains one of the leading candidates to leave Elland Road, although Valencia are currently waiting to see if Leeds lower their asking price.
Wilfried Gnonto and Joel Piroe, who did not play on Saturday, could also move on if suitable offers come in, with Leeds believing both players could command sizeable fees.
Brenden Aaronson’s situation is another one to keep an eye on. The American is entering the final year of his contract, leaving Leeds with an important call to make before the transfer window shuts.
