Leeds United are still looking to add another striker this summer as they aim to ease the burden on Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of the new Premier League season.
The former Everton forward enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at Elland Road, scoring 14 league goals as Leeds secured their Premier League status. However, whenever his goals dried up, Daniel Farke’s side lacked another proven option to step in, exposing the need for greater depth up front.
As a result, signing a centre-forward remains one of the club’s biggest priorities before the transfer window closes. Leeds want a striker who can push Calvert-Lewin for a starting place while also giving Farke the flexibility to field both players together if required.
Just as importantly, the Whites are looking for someone capable of leading the line whenever Calvert-Lewin is unavailable. Adding that level of competition and cover would give Leeds a much stronger attacking unit and reduce their reliance on one player over the course of a long Premier League campaign.

Leeds United eye genuine striker target as selling club brace for bids
The Whites are in the market to sign one more goalkeeper apart from James Trafford and are also desperate to bring in an attacking midfielder this summer.
However, signing a striker is a big priority as they want to ease the goalscoring burden on Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 2026/27 season.
Zian Flemming is a forward who has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds since the end of last season, and he is expected to leave Burnley following their relegation.
According to Football Insider, the 28-year-old Dutchman is a genuine target for Leeds before the end of the transfer window.
He scored 11 goals in 21 Premier League starts last season and is seen as a proven performer who could add much-needed quality to the Leeds squad.
Burnley are also aware that Flemming is likely to leave and are expecting to receive bids for him in the coming weeks.
Brentford are also interested in the forward and have made enquiries into signing him this summer.

The 28-year-old Dutch forward was Burnley’s leading scorer in the Premier League last season, finding the net 11 times in just 29 appearances.
Despite playing in a struggling side, Flemming consistently stood out, which explains why several Premier League clubs are now monitoring his situation.
Only Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored more league goals than Flemming among the current Leeds squad last season, while Noah Okafor finished three goals behind the Burnley man.
With proven Premier League pedigree and an eye for goal, Flemming represents the kind of opportunity Leeds should be looking to take advantage of before the transfer window closes.
Would rather see a younger striker, with potential, Flemming is not that prolific, surely theres better and younger out there at a similar price?
He is a bit of a freak though. He is a 9/10 combined. That’s why Leeds are considering him. 11 goals in a rubbish team is a good return. We can’t compete for strikers in 30-40 million bracket yet.
Well we know how this will go Leeds will look into acquiring him, they will dither around thinking about it and eventually miss out
I think he is a decent option but he clearly isn’t our first choice or we could have had this done ages ago. Piroe is almost certain to return too a championship club. He is brilliant in that division and teams like Southampton, West ham and Burnley must be looking at him to bounce straight back up. A swap deal with Flemming is surely not a difficult transfer to pull off. I just don’t think he is that high up Leeds’ wanted list
