Leeds United boss Daniel Farke made a big decision during the run-in. He made one big chance to the starting lineup, which eventually paid off for the club.
After a series of poor results, Illan Meslier’s error against Swansea saw Leeds drop more points in the race for promotion. Daniel Farke finally made the decision to bench the Frenchman. Karl Darlow was in goal till the end of the season, and the club lifted the league title.
Ever since the incident happened, there has been news flying around that Meslier could leave Elland Road this summer. There had been links to France, and Leicester City, but nothing has panned out so far.

It looks like Leeds have taken matters into their own hands now. According to TEAMtalk, the Whites are set to offer Meslier to multiple clubs in an effort to move him this summer.
The French keeper has a year left on his deal, but it is apparent that Leeds will not be keen on renewing his contract. The aim seems to be to find a buyer this summer. Daniel Farke is reportedly eyeing a move for one of Aaron Ramsdale or Sam Johnstone this summer. Both players are on a shortlist, with Leeds set to weigh up offers for these players later this month.
Right decision by the club
Offering Meslier to other clubs is a good step. The keeper knows he will not be at the club for long after the events of last season. Even if Leeds fail to get a first choice keeper, it is highly unlikely that Daniel Fark chooses to select Meslier again.
The best thing is for all parties to move on. Meslier could also fetch a decent fee which would count as profit. The 25-year old joined for just £5million back in 2020.
Now the Whites can focus on finding a replacement ahead of next season.
