Leeds United signed four new players before the start of the new season. Per reports, the 49ers are keen on bringing in a few more players before the transfer window closes.

The last few days have revealed that a new transfer is on the table.

Leeds are in the race to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk. The Whites have made a loan offer for the Ukraine international, but it has been turned down as talks continue.

Adding another attacker before the deadline seems to be the priority.

Signing a backup goalkeeper is also on the agenda, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Michael Zetterer on the radar.

Paul Merson criticizes Leeds United star

On Saturday, Leeds United opened their Premier League season with a win over Nottingham Forest.

A late free kick from Anton Stach was enough to seal all three points for the visitors in a hard fought result for Daniel Farke’s men.

Three Leeds signings made their debut from the start of the match; James Trafford, Tarik Muharemovic and Harry Wilson. Trafford was impressive, and Muharemovic played well.

Wilson was a bit quiet during the game.

However Paul Merson thinks otherwise, he claims the former Fulham man ‘wasn’t great’ on Saturday.

“He wasn’t great. He did have a couple of good balls in and he score a goal that was offside.” Merson said on Soccer Saturday.

“Yeah did alright for his debut. For his first game for Leeds he did okay.

“I think he’s going to be a very good signing for Leeds.

“Anybody on a free is a good signing, but he will give them something different.

“I don’t see Leeds opening up teams every week, and I think you need that set-play.”

Harry Wilson is a perfect fit for Leeds

Wilson has been the only attacker who has joined the team in the summer window.

The other additions have been players in the backline.

If the former Fulham man’s debut showed anything, it is that he will be a great fit in this team. Some of his long passes to being counter attacks were very impressive to watch.

He was also finding great spaces to received the ball and progress play.

Due to how much Forest had of the ball in stretches of the game, he was a bit quiet. But that is to be expected whenever a team comes up against a serious opponent.

Harry Wilson will be a good signing if today is anything to go by.
