Manchester United have been hit with criticism in the media this week ahead of their big game at Elland Road. Leeds United will no doubt be enjoying the build up to the game.

Roy Kean has predicted what he thinks will happen when his former side make the trip to West Yorkshire.

It looks like many former players and pundits alike have no faith in Michael Carrick’s side getting a result. From Jason Cundy, to Simon Jordan, the red devils are not getting a favourable predicition ahead of the game.

A lot of this has to do with their form to start this season.

Carrick’s side have just six points from six games in the Premier League and have only one won game so far.

They have failed to win any of their last five games including getting just one point from games against Manchester City and Spurs. Both sides finished their respective matches with 10 men after receiving red cards.

Ahead of the game, former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has given his verdict on Michael Carrick’s side.

Keane admits that he has doubts about  the red devils winning, but he has urged them to pick up a point. He also urged the players to show some fight on the field after recent results.

“I am not sure about them winning at Leeds, but get a point.” Keane said on The Overlap.

“Compete, show that they are a united front, and the players have to show some proper fight.”

The last time both sides met, Leeds shocked Michael Carrick’s side and left Old Trafford with a 2-1 win. The Whites’ performance in that first half is some of the best football they have played this year.

Daniel Farke’s side need to avoid any complacency

In the midst of all the talk about the pressure on Manchester United and Michael Carrick, Leeds should not assume that they have the upper hand in this game.

This weekend gives the away side the perfect opportunity to make a statement in a rivalry game. Carrick’s side have been poor this season, but can revive their campaign with the right result.

Which means that the Whites cannot afford to be complacent on Sunday.

They must execute Daniel Farke’s game plan and be ruthless in front of goal if they want a win in front of the Elland Road crowd. Failing to win that game cosiderig how bad Man United have been would be a huge disappointment.
