Leeds United wrapped up their pre-season in the US with a stunning comeback win over Liverpool in Chicago. The game ended in a drastically different fashion to how it started.
The Reds were 2-0 up at half time, and it looked like Daniel Farke’s men had no way back into the game.
Farke was furious on the touchline after the second goal from Florian Wirtz went in. But at the half time break, the Leeds boss stuck in and made some big calls ahead of the second period.
In came Brenden Aaronson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Harry Wilson and Sean Longstaff for the second half.
These changes made the key difference, as three of the four substituted were involved in the goals. The Whites put four past Liverpool in the second half to seal a huge win.
talkSPORT pundits disagree on Leeds United claims
The win has brought a lot of confidence in the Leeds United fanbase despite many saying it was just a friendly.
They are very optimistic heading into the new season.
Robbie Fowler, who watched the game with LFCTV, tipped Leeds to finish near the European places on Sunday. He thinks the team have what it takes to perform better than last season.

Andy Townsend on the other hand, thinks the Whites will finish lower than last season. He and Jeff Stelling had a back and forth over this issue on the talkSPORT show after the game.
Jeff Stelling asked: ”Where do you think Leeds United will finish this season”
Andy Townsend gave a blunt response: ”16th.”
Stelling then gave his prediction: ”10th, I think they’ll have a good season. I love the fact that they’ve signed Harry Wilson.”
”I welcome the Leeds fans to come on and tell me why they feel they will finish around midtable. With what they have at the moment, I don’t quite see that. But I’m welcomed to be put right by the Leeds fans.” Townsend continued.
”It’s a brilliant Premier League club [Leeds]. Anyone who goes there to watch a game, you know you’re going to get a proper game.”
”They’re gonna have to get a few more through the door first to convince me that they’re gonna be anywhere near the single figures.”

Leeds fans do not need to be angry over Townsend’s words
It is always great to have massive expectations, but fans must also be realistic.
Leeds did a great job as they finished 14th last season, but this time around things will be difficult. The teams that finished below them have made some serious additions in the offseason.
The 49ers have only signed two players, but could add more as the window goes on.
Andy Townsend’s prediction of 16th place is not bad, as finishing there guarantees another season of survival. So maybe Leeds fans should not take that prediction personally.
