Daniel Farke has given an update on when Leeds United signing Jean-Matteo Bahoya will be ready to play. The Whites are up against Crystal Palace this weekend ahead of the international break.
Leeds go into Sunday’s game with a lot of momentum after thrashing Newcastle at home this week.
Pierre Sage’s Palace side have just three points from their first four league games, and will be the underdogs this week. Farke’s men are riding high after a great start to the campaign.
Ahead of the game, Harry Wilson has been ruled out with a quad injury.
He joins Joe Rodon on the injured list, but positive news for Leeds is that Ilia Gruev could be available.

Leeds United will have close to a full squad available at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke has given an update on Jean-Matteo Bahoya ahead of the game. The summer signing is yet to feature since joining on deadine day, but has been on the bench for recent games.
Farke has said the forward is close to being ready to play for the first team.
”Very close, in Chelsea five seconds away from coming on. Came from the bench at the end of last season. Have to look after them, make sure they’re well prepared when I throw them into Premier League.”
”It’s unforgivable. A poor performance on debut and they can be buried. Have to make sure they’re ready. Jean Matteo is a top character, not the highest confidence or physical fitness level to start, but you can see him grow day to day on the training pitch. All chances to be involved.”

Leeds attack could do with a fresh face
With Harry Wilson out for a few weeks, Sunday would be a great chance to give Jean-Matteo Bahoya his first taste of first team action.
Daniel Farke already made it clear that the Frenchman is not expected to hit the ground running. The club’s managing director also mentioned that Bahoya is a ‘long term’ project.
So he will be slowly introduced to the first team until he is ready.
But from what has been said, the forward is a tricky winger with a lot of pace. And this Leeds attack could do with such a profile as the team thrive on attacking transitions.
