Leeds United have two crucial games in the space of six days as they face Bournemouth and Chelsea. Daniel Farke’s men have a huge chance in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
They can possibly get 40 points which could be enough to secure a place in the top flight next season. The Whites also face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend. Farke’s side can make history, and reach the final of the cup competition for the first time in decades.
Leeds fans will be confident heading into both games after seeing what their team has done over the past week. Back-to-back wins over Manchester United and Wolves have not come easy.
Daniel Farke hands Leeds United star lifeline amidst injury worries
In Farke’s press conference on Tuesday, the Leeds boss said some players are doubts for the games this week. Anton Stach is a doubt for this weekend’s game, which could open the door for players like Sean Longstaff and Ilia Gruev.
“Once an important player like Anton or Joe is not available, it is always a chance for someone else to shine. The players deserve all the plaudits, but we have done this for more or less the whole season.” Farke said.
”There are always injuries and ups and downs, but every player has had the chance to be in the starting lineup and chip in with results. Ethan was ever present but Longstaff was there for long periods, Gruev also, outstanding performances, Ao Tanaka at the start of the season, we need this competition. I am very happy with my group and more or less all positions. We have to continue for 5 games on league level and hopefully 2 more in the cup.”
Leeds will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi final this weekend, with fans hoping for a place in the final to cap off a great season.

Depth is crucial at this point of the season
At this point of the season, everybody must be fit an available. Daniel Farke must be able to call on everyone in the squad depending on how the games go. The midfield depth has been very evident over the last week. When Stach went out, Ao Tanaka delivered brilliant performances against Manchester United and Wolves. James Justin also filled in at center back for Joe Rodon. Having these key players who can come into the team when needed is a huge boost for Farke and the club.
