Leeds United have made a brilliant start to the new season with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but there is still plenty of work to do in the transfer market before the window closes.
The Whites are still looking to add cover at goalkeeper, striker and left-back, while Daniel Farke would also like to bring in a versatile forward to give him more options in attack.
With just eight days remaining in the window, Leeds have plenty to get done, both in terms of bringing new players in and finding new clubs for those who are no longer part of the plans.
The recruitment team are working closely with several agents as they try to get both incoming and outgoing deals over the line and complete the reshaping of the squad before September 1.

Leeds United deal set to get unlocked in the coming days
Leeds United are close to completing the signing of a new goalkeeper, with Michael Zetterer arriving in England on Saturday to finalise his move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
An agreement between the two clubs is now close, with Zetterer expected to join Leeds on loan with an option to buy. The experienced German will provide cover for James Trafford and is set to become his number two.
Lucas Perri, however, is still at the club and was on the bench for Leeds’ 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.
It emerged over the weekend that the deal to take him to Torino could be on the verge of collapse as the Italian club are having second thoughts on signing him.
However, according to Tuttosport via Tutto Mercato, Perri remains Torino’s main goalkeeper target this summer.
The two clubs have reached a broad agreement over a loan deal, with the loan fee and option to buy taking the total package to around £13m.
Torino are looking to finalise the details of the agreement in the coming days and secure Perri’s signature before the end of the week.
Leeds have plenty to do before the window closes
While Daniel Farke would like to add more creativity and extra steel in midfield, Leeds United have more pressing issues to deal with before they can focus on bringing in another versatile attacker.
Joel Piroe’s departure has left the Whites needing a new number nine who can play alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin or step in for him when required.
Alex Cairns’ performance against Manchester United also highlighted the need for a reliable number two behind James Trafford. Leeds need someone they can trust to step up if their first-choice goalkeeper is unavailable.
Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury has exposed another weakness in the squad, with Leeds lacking a natural replacement for the Sweden international.
The Whites also cannot keep relying on James Justin to plug gaps across the backline. A genuine back-up left-back should therefore be another priority for Farke before the transfer window closes.
