Leeds United have made a fantastic start to the season with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but there is still plenty for the club to sort out in the transfer market before the window closes.
The Whites are still looking for cover at goalkeeper, striker and left-back, while Daniel Farke would also like to add a versatile forward to give him more options in attack.
Leeds missed out on Julian Brandt after the Germany international chose to join Ajax, while it remains uncertain whether Igor Paixao will leave Marseille before the deadline despite the French club’s need to raise funds.
Farke wants to bring in at least one more versatile attacker before the window closes, but one of Leeds’ targets now appears to have attracted interest from Wrexham as well.

Wrexham plot club-record bid to sign Leeds United-linked attacker
Leeds want to bring in a versatile attacker who can play on the left, and they have been linked with moves for Rafael Leao, Igor Paixao and Mykhailo Mudryk.
The Whites have also been interested in Lyon attacking midfielder Pavel Sulc in the ongoing summer transfer window.
He scored 15 goals and registered 10 assists last season, and he has been heavily linked with a move away from Lyon ahead of the end of the window on September 1.
A move to England has been mooted, and according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Wrexham are plotting an ambitious move to sign the attacking midfielder.
After coming close to finishing in the playoffs, Wrexham want to push for promotion again, and they are keen to get their hands on Sulc.
The Championship club are prepared to make a club-record offer to sign the Lyon attacking midfielder in the ongoing summer transfer window.
What are Leeds United’s priorities for the rest of the window?
While Daniel Farke would like to add more creativity to his squad, Leeds United have more pressing issues to deal with before they can focus on bringing in another versatile attacker.
Joel Piroe’s departure has left the Whites needing a new number nine who can play alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin or step in for him when required.
Alex Cairns’ performance against Manchester United also highlighted the need for a proper number two behind James Trafford. Leeds need someone they can trust if their first-choice goalkeeper is unavailable.
Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury has exposed another weakness in the squad, with Leeds lacking a natural replacement for the Sweden international.
The Whites cannot keep relying on James Justin to cover different positions across the backline either, so a genuine back-up left-back should also be high on Farke’s list of priorities.
