Leeds United have made an excellent start to the season with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but there is still plenty for the club to sort out in the transfer market before the window closes.
The Whites are still looking for cover at goalkeeper, striker and left-back, while Daniel Farke would also like to add a versatile forward to give him more options in attack.
Leeds are working on a loan deal for Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk, although it could take some time to get the agreement over the line. The Ukrainian is keen to remain in the Premier League despite Chelsea’s efforts to send him to Strasbourg.
The Whites are also closing in on their fifth signing of the summer, with the club working to finalise the deal in the coming days.
However, the 49ers are not stopping there. They remain keen to add a highly rated young player to the squad and are pushing hard to land one of South America’s most exciting talents.

Leeds and Liverpool battle for Matias Orozco
The 49ers want to invest in young players, and recently secured a deal to sign 18-year-old striker Ditmir Hodja, who has joined their Under-21 squad.
Leeds are looking to add backups to their striker, goalkeeper and left-back, but the club have been keen to add a midfielder to their squad this summer as well.
It may not be Leeds’ biggest priority right now, but the club are keen to invest in a young defensive midfielder. According to Sport Witness, citing reports from Colombia, the Whites are among the clubs interested in 18-year-old midfielder Matias Orozco.
Brentford have already failed with a bid, and it has been claimed that Leeds and Liverpool are in the running to sign the young midfielder this summer.
He has a £5.2m release clause, and Deportivo Cali are not interested in negotiating a lower fee for the talented young defensive midfielder.
Orozco is expected to leave the Whites in the coming days, and Leeds are very much in the race to sign him before the end of the summer transfer window.
Leeds United’s priorities for the rest of the window
While Daniel Farke would like to add more creativity and some extra steel in midfield, Leeds United have more immediate issues to address before turning their attention to another versatile attacker.
Joel Piroe’s departure has left the Whites in need of a new number nine who can play alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin or step in for him when needed.
Alex Cairns’ display against Manchester United also underlined the need for a reliable number two behind James Trafford. Leeds need someone they can trust to step in if their first-choice goalkeeper is unavailable.
Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury has exposed another weakness, with the squad lacking a natural replacement for the Sweden international.
The Whites also cannot continue relying on James Justin to fill gaps across the backline. Bringing in a genuine back-up left-back should therefore be another priority for Farke before the window closes.
