Leeds United splashed the cash once again this summer, but it was more about quality than quantity. Last year, the team was focused on bringing in enough depth for the first team.
The 49ers’ recruitment managed to land some real stars like Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Noah Okafor.
Last season, the Whites defied all odds and managed to avoid relegation, finishing in 14th place. And a lot of that was due to the signings they made in the summer window.
This year, Leeds focused on less players but added real quality.
James Trafford has played every bit like a star player, while Nico Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic have made their mark on the team.

This summer’s signings have also brought much needed competition to the first team.
In the Premier League, teams need to have quality all over the field in every game, and Leeds United did just that. Nico Elvedi is providing serious competition for Jaka Bijol and Jean-Matteo Bahoya recently made his first appearance.
After the international break, Farke could call upon a fully fit squad.
Harry Wilson is expected to be available when league action resumes, having been injured just before the break. And when he does return, Daniel Farke must make him a priority in the team.
Brenden Aaronson started in the League Cup game against Chelsea, and has been getting valuable minutes on the pitch.
This must change when Wilson is fit, and Farke must not play the American midfielder when Wilson is fit and available.

Many will argue that Aaronson scoring against Chelsea means he has more goals than Wilson, but their overall game has a huge disparity.
Wilson has not been at his best yet, but what he has shown on the pitch is far more than Aaronson can produce on a big day. The former midfielder has been unlucky not to get some assists, and he had a goal ruled out for offside at Elland Road.

Playing behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin will take some adaptation; the Welshman operated on the right last year.
But when he does get comfortable in the role, there will be no better creative option. He just needs time to sort himself in the first team.
