This Leeds United team has drastically changed from the side that achieved Premier League promotion. And the last of that era could force a move in the upcoming window.
Manor Solomon, Dan James, Joel Piroe and Brenden Aaronson were a formidable front four that scored over 90 goals.
Leeds won the league title on the final day in dramatic fashion as they put the cherry on top of winning promotion to the Premier League.
Since that year, Manor Solomon was not signed after his impressive loan and Joel Piroe will be a permanent West Ham player next summer. Brenden Aaronson was a consistent starter in the promotion campaign, but is now a backup player.
A new crop of players have arrived in the last two seasons, with the club adding Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor in attack.

One name that tends to be overlooked in that promotion campaign is Dan James.
His incredible run in the second half of the season was a big reason why Leeds United opened the gap in their promotion race. James scored crucial goals before going down injured for the rest of the season.
Since then, the Welshman has not been the same; he has been injured and rarely played when fit.
Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider is reporting that Dan James could push for a move when January comes around. However, it is noted that Leeds will keep the winger around if he accepts his current role in the team.
James is now a rotation option, coming off the bench and a starter in some cup games.

Daniel Farke decision has played a huge role
Dan James was fantastic in the Championship; he had one of his most productive seasons, but the Premier League has been quite difficult.
Aside the level and intensity of the league affecting the winger’s injuries, James has not benefitted from Farke’s formation change. Leeds now play a 3-4-2-1 system which does not have a role for natural wingers.
James has been used at wingback sometimes, with Farke pointing out that it could be a good fit for him.
So it is understandable that the £25 million signing could look to leave considering everything. Leeds should do their best to get a good fee for him if they decide to sell him going forward.
