The 2023/24 season in the Championship was one of the better seasons at Leeds United. Daniel Farke assembled one of the best attacking units in the league that year.
The club managed to score 81 goals, but finished just outside automatic promotion despite an incredible season.
That summer saw Leeds make the playoff final where they eventually lost to Southampton. The sequence of events that summer shaped what the team has become today.
There was an exodus of players, with many leaving the team as they failed to reach the Premier League.
Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray were sold for over £100 million in transfer fees combined, landing at top flight clubs.

Despite losing three of their best players, Farke guided this Leeds United side to promotion.
And that season broke even more records; the club hit the 100-point mark and scored 95 goals as they finally achieved Premier League football.
It has been three years since that summer that the club lost the play-off final. Leeds are back in the top flight, but the players they sold to Premier League clubs have had drastically different careers.
Archie Gray has been stop-start at Spurs, and has rarely been played in midfield. Georginio Rutter has been decent at Brighton, but has not hit the heights expected, and Crysencio Summerville earned a £60 million move this summer.
Last year saw the winger impress with West Ham, but unfortunately the Hammers were relegated.
And after an incredible World Cup campaign with the Netherlands, Al-Hilal swooped in and signed the former Leeds star.

Crysencio Summerville has proven that he is worth the money
Summerville was always a talented player; it showed when he broke out at Elland Road and in 2023/24 he had a brilliant season winning EFL Championship player of the year.
His start to life at West Ham was not great, but when he was injury-free he was brilliant.
In his first seven games in the Saudi Pro League, he has scored two goals and has three assists. Summerville is second for goal involvements for Al-Hilal and leads the team in big chances created.
People may criticize the level of the league, but the likes of Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney and Joao Felix also play in the competition.
It took a few years, but the world is now seeing just how good Crysencio Summerville is.
